I was never much of a fan of British heavy metal so I’m surprised that I enjoyed “Wikka”, which dubs itself as heavily influenced from that scene, though they’re more like Mayhem than anything else. From a country that most everyone over here in the States has never heard of, Belarus, Asguard proves that while the Iron Curtain may have dropped there’s still a metal curtain that’s draped about in the former Soviet Eastern Bloc. Their next album “Dreamslave” was recorded with the Belarus National Symphony, which has me quite excited.
